About the Role:- Lead the day-to-day operational human resources needs of the organization through effective critical thinking, relationship-building, and communication with both hospital partners and department staff.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members on compensation, benefits, HR operations, and HRIS functions while ensuring services and work are performed in compliance with collective agreements, policies, and procedures.
- Compile and analyze HR metrics to inform strategic decisions and drive business outcomes.
- Oversee processes and policies that impact various HR systems and other applications.
- Collaborate with hospital partners to review, design, and implement policies to support and sustain HR best practices.
- Develop strategies to work toward achieving workforce targets related to recruitment, performance reviews, and turnover.
- Support the implementation of an electronic staff scheduling system by coaching and managing HR aspects of the implementation.
- Influence and build consensus with hospital leaders to effectively integrate HR programs and services.
- Lead or participate in projects/corporate culture initiatives associated with the Hospital's People Plan.
- Support organizational change through strategic thinking and organizational behavior/change management principles.
- Previous experience leading Human Resources Operations.
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
- Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) or equivalent.
- Hospital or health services experience is an asset.
- Experience using Workday is a plus.
- Previous experience managing or leading a team, including coaching, mentoring, and team building.
- Expertise in operational human resource management, including management of HR data, HRIS, compensation, benefits, and HR operations.
- Knowledge of employment legislation, collective agreement language, and practices in a unionized environment or public sector/broader public sector organization.
- Experience in policy and program development.
- Effective consultation skills to foster collaborative working relationships among management, HRBPs, staff, organizational units, etc.
- Strong organizational skills to plan and coordinate various activities and manage competing priorities and balance multiple, disparate tasks.
