As Canada's largest and rapidly expanding network of community pharmacies, we are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and accessible healthcare with a personal touch in every community we serve.

The Retail Store Supervisor (RSS) will be accountable for the management of the front store (excluding pharmacy), ensuring compliance with Neighbourly Pharmacy policies, fostering a professional atmosphere, and supervising front store staff.

Store Operations
- Lead initiatives to meet the store's strategic goals.
- Enhance the Neighbourly Pharmacy brand through various promotional activities and participation in industry events to boost brand visibility.

- Uphold the Neighbourly Pharmacy policy manual to cultivate a workplace that attracts and retains dedicated, engaged employees.

- Ensure all personnel adhere to store policies and take corrective measures when necessary.
- Manage processes related to returns, customer complaints, store security, and employee discounts.
- Oversee store opening and closing procedures, security alarm protocols, and end-of-day tasks.
- Maintain store cleanliness, security, and adherence to general housekeeping standards.
- Foster a welcoming and service-oriented environment for customers.
- Build strong relationships within the local business community.
- Ensure that all areas of the front store are organized, tidy, and professional.
Front Store Personnel
- Supervise front store staff across all operational aspects.

- Train all front store employees, ensuring they fulfill their job responsibilities effectively.

- Coordinate work schedules for front store personnel.
- Oversee daily operations of front store staff.
- Collaborate with Human Resources for hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations as required.
- Ensure the front store operates with professionalism, providing courteous customer service.
Inventory and Purchasing
- Maintain effective inventory control across all departments, adhering to budgetary and supplier guidelines.
- Assist in budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, and pricing strategies to optimize gross margins.
- Ensure proper ordering and setup for sales events.

- Control shrinkage through effective management of returns, losses, and theft, while adhering to pricing and receiving protocols.

- Manage the Monthly Cycle Count Schedule and inventory reporting to the Neighbourly Pharmacy Inventory Manager.

- Handle sales representatives through the POS system, approving suggested orders and managing claims, damages, and returns.

- Coordinate with the receiver on retail pricing, ensuring alignment with store policy and local market conditions.

- Ensure adequate stock of store supplies and coordinate promotional signage and materials for optimal visibility.


- Operate the front store in accordance with Neighbourly Pharmacy guidelines and objectives.

- Participate in establishing financial operating budgets and policy objectives for both short-term and long-term planning.

- Ensure accurate record-keeping, reporting, and timely communication with the Neighbourly Pharmacy Accounting Office.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of retail management experience, including purchasing, loss prevention, and inventory control.
- Proven ability to drive business success, lead by example, and support corporate initiatives.
