About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Forecasting Analyst to join our dynamic Canada Supply Chain Management team at Mattel. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving business success through accurate forecasting and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Item-Level Forecasts: Utilize advanced statistical techniques to create accurate forecasts that align with consumer demand, sales strategies, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Teams: Work closely with internal Sales teams and external Customer Planning and Replenishment teams to ensure optimal product availability, replenishment, and order fulfillment.
  • Analyze Sales and Promotional Data: Generate accurate monthly flow patterns, considering seasonality, promotions, distribution points, and market trends.
  • Improve Forecast Accuracy: Identify key trends, minimize variance, and ensure a balanced inventory to prevent missed sales opportunities.
  • Participate in S&OP Meetings: Contribute to internal S&OP meetings and maintain proactive communication with leadership on risks, opportunities, and performance against KPIs.
  • Contribute to Global Forecasting Transformation: Drive improvements and innovation across the organization through global forecasting transformation initiatives.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Professional Experience: 3-5 years of experience in forecasting, planning, or sales analytics, with a strong track record of increasing responsibility. Experience working with Walmart is highly recommended.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with tools like Anaplan, Blue Yonder/JDA, SAP, Tableau, or Cognos, and familiarity with statistical forecasting techniques.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, apply critical thinking, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Communication Pro: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Proactive & Positive Attitude: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering results.
  • Willingness to Travel: Open to travel as required to collaborate with customers and regional teams.
  • Growth-Oriented: Demonstrated curiosity and a growth mindset, constantly seeking to learn and improve.
