Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance and ensure vehicle is in good working condition
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel cross-border
  • Basic security clearance
  • Steel-toed safety boots
Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, often away from home for extended periods. You will be required to work in various locations, including different provinces and territories, and may be required to work in extreme weather conditions.
