Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a skilled ER Physician to join our team at Groves Memorial Community Hospital. Our ED is a busy and dynamic environment with a strong focus on patient care and community involvement.
As an ER Physician at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art emergency department with a robust group of local GPs and consultants available. We offer X-ray, Ultrasound, Lab, and CT scans on site, as well as flexible scheduling and competitive AFA hourly rates plus shadow billings.
Our ED volumes are approximately - visits/day, and we offer a range of financial incentives, including the Groves Hospital ER Physician Return of Service program. This program provides a $, return of service for full-time ER physicians who commit to -year service.
We are a teaching site for McMaster University Medical School, and we offer electronic charting and order entry (PatientKeeper), integrated with Meditech and PACS. We also offer free accommodation in town, if needed, and free hospital parking.
Our ED Mentorship Program is designed to promote the integration of community-based family practitioners into local EDs. Funding is provided for up to four months upon commencement in the ED Mentorship Program.
Restricted Registration Program is also available for residents who want to gain valuable experience in a variety of practice settings, build confidence to ease the transition to practice, and earn extra income.
About Groves Hospital: We are a modern, bright, healing environment with a -bed acute care facility (with the ability to surge to beds) and two state-of-the-art operating rooms. Our brand-new hospital is a -bed facility with three L&D rooms (approx. deliveries/year), CT scanner and - emergency department.
