Team Overview: The PAM Investment Operations team comprises investment experts who facilitate the management of private assets, including mortgages, private debt, fixed income, real estate, and private equity, as well as third-party alternative investment funds and separately managed accounts.
Role Summary: Reporting to the Director of Private Asset Management (PAM), the Senior Analyst in Private Market Operations will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of portfolio accounting records conducted by the administrator. This role includes the preparation and coordination of monthly and quarterly reports for investors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations to support the development of accounting records for private asset funds and separately managed accounts.
- Collaborate closely with various departments within investment operations, front office, and finance teams.
- Produce entries in the Investran accounting system and conduct testing of reports for data migration and onboarding.
- Utilize Investran for generating reports necessary for reconciliations.
- Oversee daily and monthly NAV processes, ensuring the accuracy of the portfolio accounting records.
- Ensure timely and precise production of monthly and quarterly client reports in collaboration with front office, finance, performance, and the administrator.
- Conduct quality control and tolerance checks on all client reports prior to distribution to investors.
- Act as a liaison between the internal finance team and the administrator to guarantee the prompt issuance of financial reporting data and other requests.
- Prepare and review Capital Calls, Distributions, and rebalancing for Private Equity Funds.
- Provide administrative data to support front office, finance, compliance, and internal leadership requests.
- Work with technology teams to ensure the integrity of data feeds to the administrator.
- Engage in reporting and data migration testing, along with other software evaluations.
- Ensure the team operates within a robust control environment, completing tasks in accordance with established procedures and controls.
- Contribute significantly to projects, new initiatives, and technology advancements.
Qualifications:
- Approximately 4+ years of experience in Alternative Investments, specifically in fund accounting, fund administration, or operations in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Experience in Private Equity is essential.
- A degree in Accounting or Finance with strong analytical capabilities.
- Experience in operations/accounting related to private debt, private equity, bank loans, fixed income, mortgages, real estate, oil and gas, and timber is advantageous.
