Senior Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:
Watson Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Senior Nurse Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and leading our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage patient needs, utilizing physician protocol and professional judgment to plan patient care.
- Notify physicians of patient status based on urgency and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Identify and evaluate patient needs through telephone triage and provide timely interventions.
- Administer medications, including injections and IVs, and document medication given or prescribed by ordering physicians.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Identify and evaluate emergent needs of Urgent Care patients, treating them in a timely and expedient manner.
- Provide patient education and instruction, determining patient comprehension levels and formulating educational plans.
- Document information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) regarding patient status and care.
- Assist physicians with patient exams and medical procedures, demonstrating awareness of self-responsibility and accountability for professional practice.
- Exercise good judgment in decision-making to ensure quality patient care outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current Florida license as a Registered Nurse.
- BSN degree preferred.
- One or more years of comprehensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Current CPR certification.
- ACLS & PALS certification to be completed within 6 months of employment.
- 2 years ER or Critical Care experience required.
