Job Summary
Watson Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Senior Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for managing a significant nursing-related function and providing nursing care, treatment, and/or assessment services in our clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patient needs, providing education and support to patients and families.
- Collaborate with investigators, other employees, and patients to advance research and improve patient outcomes.
- Provide on-call coverage for patients receiving chemotherapy at home on home pumps.
- Administer chemotherapy medication, including injections and IVs, and document medication given or prescribed by ordering physicians.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining current certification in CPR and adhering to nursing policy and procedure when documenting information in patient records.
- Stay up-to-date with new policy and procedures and Clinical Services Notes newsletter.
- Attend mandatory safety training programs and lectures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing.
- Active Florida license as a Registered Nurse.
- Chemo experience is required.
- Preferred 2 years oncology experience.
- Current BLS certification or to be completed within three months of employment.
- Current ACLS certification or to be completed within 6 months of employment.
- Certification in OCN after working 1000 hours.
