The Financial Planning Manager will be responsible for directing and overseeing the creation and upkeep of the corporate forecasting model, as well as preparing both regular and ad-hoc analyses of the company's financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine monthly and quarterly analyses and scenarios for the corporate forecasting model.
  • Evaluate monthly and quarterly outcomes against forecasts, investigating and documenting variances in collaboration with department leaders.
  • Generate monthly financial analyses for the operational Senior Leadership Team and departmental heads.
  • Compile quarterly financial summaries and analyses for the Board of Directors.
  • Conduct financial analyses, modeling, and business case presentations for various corporate development projects.
  • Lead the implementation of a new FP&A software solution.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to foster continuous process improvements aimed at streamlining expense management and enhancing budget-to-actuals analysis.

Enhance corporate business intelligence initiatives, including data visualization, dashboards, KPIs, and operational metrics, in partnership with the corporate finance team and divisional management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline. CPA, MBA, or relevant certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial planning and analysis role, ideally within a public mid-sized manufacturing or technology environment.
  • Strong grasp of business modeling and accounting principles, particularly in hardware and/or software companies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in Vena FP&A software considered an asset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to meet stringent deadlines.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in the implementation of FP&A software is advantageous.
