About the Role

PUR Projet is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the development of our livelihoods and farm economic impact initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring projects that promote sustainable livelihoods and agricultural practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement economic livelihoods co-benefit offers for differentiated temperate and tropical regions
  • Select and align with industry frameworks for livelihood and farm economic impact models
  • Design and evaluate methodologies for baselining and evaluating livelihood and farm economic impact models
  • Support the evaluation of pathways to improve impact with intervention specialists
  • Lead the piloting of framework/activities and carbon equity offer design, development, and testing
  • Refine and evolve benefit sharing and stakeholder consultation mechanisms in line with evolving carbon/nature certification frameworks
Requirements
  • Masters or equivalent degree in international development, rural development, agricultural economics, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in livelihood topics, with a proven track record of industry engagement and network in farmer livelihoods and nature-based solutions
  • Experience with economic models for farms and living income
  • Excellent communication skills to represent PUR Projet at conferences
  • Strong experience at an international level
  • Fluent in English, with French and/or Spanish considered an asset

PUR Projet operates within the dynamic and rapidly evolving sector of environmental consultancy services and nature-based solutions markets. The NbS market has recently gained traction as society recognizes the invaluable services provided by nature and the need to preserve, restore, and harness these services to mitigate and adapt to environmental challenges.

Market KPIs include:

  • If combined with deep decarbonization efforts, NbS projects could provide up to 30% of the mitigation needed to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels by 2030 (World Economic Forum, 2023)
