Job Title: Line Cook

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at SSP Canada. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing delicious dishes for our guests and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food to order, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Set up and maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including utensils, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Handle and store food and supplies properly, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and receiving supplies.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and high-quality food.
  • Follow health and safety protocols, including proper handwashing and sanitation procedures.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Food handlers permit, as required by law.
  • Ability to stand and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
