Position Overview

Join our team at SKEANS Pneumatic and Automation Inc. as a Mechanical Installer and Maintenance Specialist. This is a permanent role where you will engage in various aspects of machinery management and maintenance.

Work Environment

As part of our operations, you will be involved in:

  • Installation of machinery
  • Maintenance and servicing
  • Repair and overhaul of equipment
  • Machine setup at various locations
Key Responsibilities

Your primary tasks will include:

  • Assembling mechanical systems and stationary industrial equipment
  • Coaching and mentoring apprentices
  • Identifying and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions
  • Interpreting blueprints and specifications to ascertain work requirements
  • Repairing or replacing faulty machinery components
  • Estimating material and cost requirements
  • Conducting routine maintenance on machinery
  • Installing various machinery and equipment
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement
  • First Aid Certification
  • WHMIS Certification
Equipment Proficiency

Experience with the following is essential:

  • Electrical and electronic controls
  • Fans and blowers
  • Gas and air dryers
  • Industrial engines
  • Pneumatic systems
  • Pumps and compressors
