Senior Design Engineer – Power Systems for Monitoring

We're seeking a dedicated and talented Senior Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of power monitoring and control systems. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you'll play a critical role in enhancing system stability, sustainability, and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and simulate control strategies for real-time power system management.
  • Develop and deploy control features using Siemens-approved software.
  • Define software and hardware architecture to meet project requirements.
  • Create and revise complex components and assemblies where required.
  • Work closely with senior team members, technical leaders, and domain experts to integrate software platform components and necessary metering.
  • Perform verification and validation activities at the component level.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, such as CSA, CUL, IEC, NEC, and NEMA, related to power systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis, control theory, and real-time monitoring.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in the field of Data Centers with expertise in Power Monitoring & Controlling, including experience with SCADA systems.
  • Proficient working with software and PLC tools.
  • Skilled in engineering principles, including circuit analysis, electromagnetics, and power electronics.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, product managers, and CAD support staff.
