Hairstyling Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Hairstyling Specialist to join our team at Tommy Gun's Original Barbershop. As a Hairstyling Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair care services to our clients, including cutting, trimming, and styling hair, as well as providing custom hair and scalp treatments.
Work EnvironmentOur barbershop is a fast-paced environment where you will be working with a team of experienced barbers and stylists. You will be required to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks, but you will also have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
Responsibilities- Advise clients on beauty care treatments and provide custom hair and scalp treatments
- Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide recommendations for improvement
- Book appointments and manage client schedules
- Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences
- Shampoo customers' hair and provide other hair treatment services
- Shave and trim beards and mustaches
- Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
- Apply hair extensions and perform other hair styling services
- Supervise apprentices/students in training and provide guidance and support
- Maintain and order supplies and manage inventory
- Hairstylist Licence
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze hair and scalp condition
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide support to colleagues
