About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Finisher to join our team at Go Pro Restoration Inc. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various locations, ensuring a high-quality finish and meeting our company's standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and ensure a professional look.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry, ensuring a seamless finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a dusty and noisy environment, with physical demands including bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of quality.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting.
