Land Survey Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Survey Technician to join our team at EX-MAX Contracting. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for conducting field surveys, operating survey instruments, and analyzing data to ensure accurate measurements and mapping.
Key Responsibilities- Field Surveys: Conduct field surveys to collect data on land topography, boundaries, and other relevant features.
- Instrument Operation: Operate survey instruments, such as GPS and total stations, to measure distances, angles, and elevations.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data collected during field surveys to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Mapping and Reporting: Prepare detailed drawings, charts, and plans, as well as survey notes and reports.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with survey engineers and other team members to develop methods and procedures for conducting field surveys.
- Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field, such as geomatics or surveying.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in land surveying or a related field.
- Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, GPS, and other surveying software and equipment.
- Personal Qualities: Accurate, dependable, organized, reliable, and a team player.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a regular 30-40 hour workweek. The work environment is primarily outdoors, with occasional indoor work in an office setting.
