Job Title: Human Resources Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Human Resources Officer to join our team at North Home Design Inc.

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, preparing and posting notices and advertisements, and coordinating the selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staffing and Recruitment: Identify current and prospective staffing requirements, prepare and post notices and advertisements, collect and screen applicants, and advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Candidate Evaluation: Coordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates, notify applicants of results of selection process, and prepare job offers.
  • Staff Management: Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures, organize staff consultation and grievance procedures, and negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes.
  • Training and Development: Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Human resources software, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, and organized.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to pay close attention to detail and ensure accuracy in all tasks.

  • Hours of Work: 30 hours per week.
