Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Miette Mountain Cabins in Jasper, Alberta. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of all facilities, including pools, restaurants, guest rooms, and meeting rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise maintenance activities and ensure all facilities are well-maintained
  • Assist with the upkeep of all Pursuit company vehicles
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with the Hotel Manager
  • Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of all staff housing units
  • Coordinate all renovations on the property
  • Communicate and perform preventative maintenance of the property
  • Train and mentor maintenance workers in all aspects of property maintenance and effective communication
  • Complete responsibility of all onsite maintenance workers and activities
  • Prepare schedules for Maintenance Workers and ensure all shifts are covered
  • Frequent interaction with coworkers, management, and guests
  • Assist with payroll control as it pertains to the Maintenance Department
  • Landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot cleaning
  • Ensure, train, and participate in safe work practices as well as fire procedures
  • Ensure use of Limble (mtn mgmt system) is used effectively by all team members
Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a related maintenance field
  • Excellent mechanical ability and knowledge
  • Ability to train staff and give direction
  • Ability to perform administrative functions and basic knowledge of computers
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of tools and their uses
  • Ability to manage large workloads and demands, and effectively multitask
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, such as day or night
  • Valid driver's license (Class 4 Alberta driver's license is an asset)
