Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Medications: Safely and accurately administer medications to patients, taking into account their medical history and current health status.
  • Record Patient Information: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient observations, medication administration, and other relevant information.
  • Monitor Patient Progress: Regularly assess patient progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination and current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Experience and Skills: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Area of Specialization: Geriatrics, with a focus on providing high-quality care to older adults.
