Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including interim and annual reports, in compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and Canadian ASPE.
  • Review and provide feedback on financial statements prepared by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, auditors, and clients to ensure smooth financial statement preparation and audit processes.
  • Share expertise and provide recommendations to clients on financial reporting requirements.
  • Lead and participate in special projects, staying up-to-date on changes to accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and oversight to junior team members, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA or CA) preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting, with a focus on the asset management industry.
  • Leadership experience, with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including VBA) and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to clients and stakeholders.
