Job Title: General Supervisor

AR HOME RENOVATION AND CONSTRUCTION INC. is seeking a highly skilled General Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized General Supervisor to oversee our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare production and other reports to ensure project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Oversee apprenticeship training and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Recruit and hire workers, and carry out related staffing actions.
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure employees have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
  • Prepare bids and estimates to secure new projects and manage company finances.
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to manage project data and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Set up equipment and ensure it is properly maintained to prevent downtime and ensure project efficiency.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Recommend personnel actions to ensure the team is working effectively and efficiently.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and deadlines.
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Requisition materials and supplies to ensure project completion and minimize delays.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • On-site work is required, with no option for remote work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Security and Safety

Basic security clearance is required for this position.
