About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional practical nursing services to designated patients, including independent nursing services and administration of prescribed medical treatments.
- Collaborate and interact with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in the coordination of patient care and demonstrate a commitment to the vision, values, and goals of Pan Am Clinic.
Requirements
- Recent, related experience in the applicable clinical area may be required or preferred.
- Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program required.
- Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) and BLS certification are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses and College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Code of Ethics for Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Scope of practice as documented in the Licensed Practical Nurses Act.
- Familiarity with facility/unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
- Nursing care knowledge related to the clinical area.
- Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), Protection of Persons in Care Act, Mental Health Act, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), Principles of Routine Practices (Universal Precautions), and other legislated acts.
- Roles and responsibilities of members of the healthcare team.
- Principles of delegation.
