Job Summary

Sanderling Transport is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Optimization: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Vehicle Operations: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring the vehicle is in good condition and all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Logistics and Administration: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Skills: Flexibility, judgment, organization, reliability, and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Transportation Experience: Long-haul and short-haul experience.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Documentation Knowledge: Familiarity with accident or incident reports, bills of lading, driver logbooks, inspection reports, and trip reports.
