Job Title: Electrical Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team at Overhead Door Corporation. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and installing door and gate motor operators & controls, focusing on quality, safety, and superior customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide electrical installation services, including operator hook-up, controls, and sensors to various overhead door & driveway gate systems.
  • Test, troubleshoot, diagnose problems, provide solutions, and carry out required work.
  • Perform basic mechanical repairs and service to overhead doors & driveway gate systems.
  • Regularly coordinate with the service scheduler on problem-solving and communicating required parts.
  • Interact with internal and external customers, including construction project managers, other trades, and safety personnel.
  • Assist other technicians with installation and service as required.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' experience in an Electrical trade or hold an Interprovincial Red Seal / Journeyman Electrician Certificate.
  • Experience in a Service/Installation Industry considered an asset.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
  • Relevant safety training and tickets are an asset (such as Fall Protection, Elevated Work Platform, Standard First Aid).
  • Experience servicing/installing overhead doors is considered an asset.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to work outside in all different weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat.
