Job Title: Senior Consultant, Third Party Governance

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our Third Party Governance Office (TPGO) within the Technology, Infrastructure and Innovation team at CIBC. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Due Diligence team to ensure CIBC's third-party risk methodology practices are executed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the execution of due diligence assessments to enable effective controls pertaining to third-party arrangements.
  • Collaborate with key risk partners to determine if potential risks inherent to products and/or services are appropriately mitigated by the Third Party or Bank's processes and controls.
  • Support the completion of control group due diligence activities, including concentration risk, criticality assessment, supplier financial viability, etc.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the third-party risk community to understand their needs and support the evolution of our processes and services.
  • Provide risk management expertise to support the design and development of control group risk reporting and metrics.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting the execution of third-party risk-based programs or similar operational risk areas.
  • Financial Services experience is an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to inform decision-making.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
