Job Title: Senior Consultant - Third Party Risk Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our Third Party Governance Office (TPGO) within the Technology, Infrastructure and Innovation team at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

About the Role:

The Senior Consultant will support the Due Diligence team to ensure CIBC's third party risk methodology practices are executed to a high standard and our business partners understand the risks that we manage and monitor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support third party due diligence activities managed by TPGO, including risk reports from start to finish, and monitoring and reporting of associated key risk metrics.
  • Work closely with other third-party risk management life cycle functions and stakeholders to ensure effective controls pertaining to third party arrangements.
  • Support the completion of control group due diligence activities per their individual risk management methodologies, to provide an evaluation of the controls environment, and enable an assessment of the design effectiveness of such controls.
  • Liaise with applicable line of business and third party to determine if the risk area is appropriately mitigated.
  • Support the design and development of control group risk reporting and metrics.
  • Support the control program by creating applicable action plans to address heightened risks and working with relationship managers and line of businesses for approval and implementation.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting the execution of third party risk-based programs, or similar operational risk areas.
  • Financial Services experience or a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is an asset.
  • Critical thinking skills to inform decision making.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with the third party risk community.
