About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sunrise Farms. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve equipment-related issues and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior maintenance staff.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., mechanical engineering, industrial technology).
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance or technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Trade certification (e.g., millwright, electrical) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations (e.g., WHMIS, CSA).
