We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Arvan Rehab Group. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their full potential and improve their quality of life.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with our residents, their families, and our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive occupational therapy services. This will include conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and documenting progress notes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct OT/ADP Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' occupational performance and develop individualized treatment plans to address their needs.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Work with residents, their families, and our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that promote independence and improve quality of life.
  • Document Progress Notes: Accurately document progress notes and maintain up-to-date records of residents' treatment plans and progress.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with our interdisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for our residents.
  • Provide Education and Support: Provide education and support to residents, their families, and our staff on occupational therapy services and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Registration and Licensure: Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and have ADP Authorizer.
  • Professional License Insurance: Must have professional liability insurance.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, their families, and our interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document progress notes and communicate effectively with our team.
  • Experience Working in Long Term Care: Experience working in long term care is an asset, but not required.
  • Current Police Check: Must have a current police check for the vulnerable sector.
