Job Title: Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Way Maker Construction Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Carpenter will be responsible for reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. The successful candidate will also build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems. Additionally, the Carpenter will fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, and schedule and coordinate work on sites.

Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Scheduling and coordinating work on sites
Requirements:
  • Experience an asset
