Job Title: Carpenter

BLUE STAR SIDING LTD. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Maintain and repair residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade.
  • Permanent employment with a 35 to 40 hour workweek.
  • English language proficiency.
Work Environment:

The Carpenter will work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, residential areas, and industrial facilities. The work will be physically demanding and require the ability to handle heavy loads.
