Position Overview:
The Senior Analyst will play a pivotal role in providing critical analysis and insights to senior leadership, focusing on strategic initiatives that enhance asset management across various sectors including retail, industrial, multi-family, and office properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and assess asset management plans, conduct market analyses, and prepare operational and financial reports, including budgets, collections, capital expenditures, and value enhancement strategies.
- Contribute to the annual business planning process, evaluate new acquisitions, and assist in underwriting and dispositions, including detailed sales and rent roll assessments.
- Examine real estate appraisals, evaluate property and portfolio performance, and monitor value creation efforts and market dynamics.
- Facilitate the monthly and quarterly reporting of financial and operational metrics.
- Prepare comprehensive presentations for internal stakeholders and external investors/clients.
- Construct and analyze dynamic pro-formas for new development projects and infill opportunities.
- Lead initiatives for process enhancements, automation, and standardization of analytical practices.
- Assist in mortgage financing processes and liaise with lenders for reporting purposes.
- Support the review and oversight of investment guidelines, risk evaluations, and external regulatory assessments.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Business, Accounting, or Engineering with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; progress towards CPA, AACI, or CFA is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Argus and Power BI is a plus.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in real estate analysis, appraisal, or property accounting.
- Knowledge of valuation methodologies (DCF, NPV, cash flow models) with exceptional attention to detail and strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while articulating the strategic implications of financial and operational models.
- Proven ability to explore and implement technological efficiencies in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
