Qualifications

Work Environment

This position is based in a retail setting, where you will engage with customers and assist them with their purchases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the cash register and process various forms of payment including cash, checks, and credit/debit cards.
  • Scan and itemize products accurately.
  • Calculate total payments for goods or services rendered.
  • Receive and process payments, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
  • Reconcile daily or shift payments with total sales figures.
  • Engage in suggestive selling to enhance customer experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and stock shelves as needed.
  • Welcome and assist customers, providing top-notch customer service.
  • Support customers using self-checkout systems.
  • Monitor store entrances and exits, verifying proof of payment when necessary.
  • Participate in promotional activities to drive sales.
  • Ensure compliance with age verification laws when selling restricted items.
