As a key player in our daily operations, you will help maintain our reputation as a reliable provider of aviation repair and maintenance services. Collaborate with your colleagues to establish effective processes and practices that enhance flight and product efficiency.
In the role of Parts Cleaning Specialist, you will utilize metal cleaning machinery such as vapor blasters, PLS, and blast cabinets, employing various blast media to eliminate excess welds, rust, scale, and other contaminants from metal surfaces, castings, and related products. You will also engage in diverse chemical and solvent cleaning tasks.
Responsibilities:
Conduct in-process cleaning, air drying, and buffing of parts Submerge metal components in chemical cleaning and stripping solutions Prepare and mask surfaces prior to the cleaning process Ready parts for non-destructive testing Maintain and clean cleaning tanks and equipment, monitoring chemical levels through titration Contribute to the ongoing improvement of cleaning processes Acquire cross-training in complementary skills to meet production needs Adhere to all relevant safety protocolsPosition Requirements:
High School diploma or GED Capability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for a significant portion of the workdayDesired Qualifications:
Comprehensive understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous materials Proficient in titrating chemicals Familiarity with material safety data sheets and the handling of hazardous substances Knowledge of company protocols, processes, MSDS labels, and original equipment manufacturer manuals related to cleaning Experience with production management softwareBenefits:
