As a key player in our daily operations, you will help maintain our reputation as a reliable provider of aviation repair and maintenance services. Collaborate with your colleagues to implement effective processes and practices that enhance flight and product efficiency.
In the role of Aviation Component Cleaner, you will utilize metal cleaning machinery such as vapor blasters, PLS, and blast cabinets, employing various blast media to eliminate excess welds, rust, scale, and other contaminants from metal parts, castings, and other metallic products. You will also engage in chemical and solvent cleaning methods.
Your responsibilities will include :
Conducting in-process cleaning, air drying, and buffing Immersing metal components in chemical cleaning and stripping solutions Preparing and masking surfaces prior to cleaning Getting parts ready for non-destructive testing Cleaning and maintaining cleaning tanks and equipment, monitoring chemicals through titration checks Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes Cross-training in additional skills to support production needs Adhering to all relevant safety protocolsPosition Requirements:
High School diploma or GED Ability to stand for extended periods. Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 75% of the workdayDesired Characteristics:
Comprehensive knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materials In-depth understanding of titrating chemicals Familiarity with material safety data sheets and the handling of hazardous materials/chemicals Knowledge of related company instructions, processes, MSDS labels, and original equipment manufacturer manuals for cleaning and related procedures Proficiency in production management computer systemsBenefits that enhance your life:
