About This Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full Scope Family Physician to join our collaborative practice in the heart of Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia. This opportunity offers a unique chance to work alongside a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, and dieticians in a newly constructed facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive family medicine care to patients within the Eastern Zone, including participation in on-call rotations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority and operate under the supervision of the Zone Department Head of Family Practice.
Additional Opportunities
Depending on your interests, you can contribute to our community by providing part-time coverage in various areas:
- Community Emergency Medicine (Level 4 ED)
- Inpatient Care through the Community Hospital Inpatient Program (CHIP)
- Nursing Home Services
Qualifications
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
- Emergency medicine experience is an asset.
- ATLS, ACLS, PALS, and advanced Airway training are required.
