Full Scope Family Physician Opportunity in Cape Breton South

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a full scope family physician to join their team in the Cape Breton South region. This opportunity offers a chance to work with a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, and dieticians in a newly constructed collaborative practice in Port Hawkesbury.
The community of Port Hawkesbury is served by the Strait Richmond Hospital, which provides inpatient, outpatient, and satellite care. The facility has 15 medicine beds and five restorative care beds, and houses a number of interdisciplinary services, including community-based rehabilitation, diabetes education, and diagnostic imaging.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full scope family medicine services to patients in the eastern zone, and will have the option to provide part-time coverage in emergency medicine, inpatient care, and nursing home settings.
Qualifications include eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia, certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada, and membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
Preferred qualifications include emergency medicine experience and ATLS, ACLS, PALS, and advanced airway training.
