About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team at FLINT Corp. as a key member of our Oil and Gas sector. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in driving our organization's success by producing high-quality, accurate estimates that meet client and project needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate proposal specifications and drawings to determine the estimated scope.
  • Provide input on profitability, risk management, and execution strategies.
  • Ensure labour, equipment, and material costs are accurate and current.
  • Perform take-offs for structural, mechanical, and civil deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain schedules, workforce plans, and work breakdown structures.
  • Prepare and analyze subcontractor and supplier documentation, updating budgets based on project changes.
  • Conduct site visits to validate estimates and incorporate project risks.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in reading piping and structural steel drawings.
  • Must possess a diploma or degree as a Mechanical technologist or engineer.
  • Deep knowledge of estimating processes and industry standards.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and execution strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Skill in managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and organized documentation.
  • Knowledge of project management, including cost control and scheduling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
