The Royal Mental Health Centre is seeking dedicated individuals to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our food services, providing quality meal experiences for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes and kitchen utensils.
- Adhere to safe food handling protocols to maintain health standards.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization within the food service area.
- Execute various tasks as assigned to support kitchen operations.
- Comply with safety practices and policies to ensure a secure environment for staff and clients.
- Foster a workplace culture that aligns with The Royal's commitment to anti-racism, discrimination, and harassment-free practices.
- Assist in meal preparation, including specialized therapeutic meals, and ensure timely delivery to designated units.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Secondary School Diploma or currently pursuing OSSD.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
- Strong team player with the capacity to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Skilled in managing multiple tasks and adapting to shifting priorities.
- Proficient communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking English, with the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Must pass a Police Records Check for vulnerable sectors.
- Completion of the Food Handler's Course is required for employment.
Compensation: The hourly wage ranges from $27.24 to $27.63.
