Job Summary

The Deputy Chief Pilot will be responsible for reporting to the Chief Pilot on all base-related issues, collaborating with the Maintenance Department, and liaising with external agencies. The ideal candidate will have a valid Category 1 Medical, Airline Transport Pilot Licence, and bilingual skills. They will also have prior experience in aviation operations and strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Chief Pilot on all base-related issues
  • Collaborating with the Maintenance Department to ensure aircraft serviceability
  • Liaising with external agencies for base-related operational activities
  • Overseeing the Safety Management System (SMS) and the Management of Change (MOC) process
  • Upholding compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and Aviation Occupational Safety and Health (AOSH) regulations
  • Managing and maintaining necessary supplies for the base
  • Conducting regularly scheduled audits
  • Helping in resolving operational disruptions
  • Serving as the Base Aviation Safety Officer
Requirements
  • Valid Category 1 Medical
  • Airline Transport Pilot Licence
  • Bilingual (French/English)
  • Prior experience in aviation operations
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
