What You'll Do
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- Assist the business in contract reviews and drafting, ensuring seamless execution.
- Negotiate, draft, assess, and manage commercial contracts and various commercial documents.
- Provide expert advice on current and new projects, products, and services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective solutions.
- Manage relationships with external counsel and stakeholders.
- Support licensing and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance.
- Review and refine contract templates, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and present internal legal training for business colleagues.
- Offer general legal guidance and support to the business.
- Embody the Aon Leadership Model, demonstrating sound judgment and diplomacy.

Requirements
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant corporate/commercial experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building strong relationships.
- Strong technical expertise and ability to stay current with market trends and applicable laws.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of composure and sound judgment.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working with legal matters in the insurance industry is an asset.
Education
- Bachelor of Law or Juris Doctor Degree, with a membership in good standing with a Canadian Bar Association.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
