As an Education Assistant with School District #5 (Southeast Kootenay), you will work under the guidance of the classroom teacher and the supervision of the school principal to support students with diverse abilities. Key Responsibilities:- Support students with diverse abilities in a classroom setting
- Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
- Provide one-on-one support to students as needed
- Assist with lesson planning and implementation
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with students with diverse abilities an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
