Maintenance Service Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Service Worker to join our Facilities Management team at SAIT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing labor support for various operations and maintenance activities, including event set-up and teardown, academic initiatives, and office moves.
Key Responsibilities- Provide labor support for event set-up and teardown services, including setup and teardown of equipment and furniture.
- Support academic initiatives through various tasks, including convocation set-up, room inventory and inspections, and delivery of educational materials.
- Provide labor support for office and furniture moves, including disassembly and reassembly of furniture.
- Pick up and transport equipment and electronic disposals from various departments.
- Provide labor support for collection and transport of hazardous waste.
- Load, offload, and transport materials and equipment for academic and non-academic departments.
- Assess damage to furniture and perform other duties as required.
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent education and experience.
- Must be an active SAIT student for the duration of the contract.
- Class 5 Driver's License.
- Forklift Operator Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Current TDG Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Trained in First Aid, CPR, and WHMIS or willingness to obtain.
- Experience with Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) or similar software is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple work requests efficiently.
