Position Overview

Avantis Marine North America Inc. is seeking a skilled Marine Steel Fitter to join our team. This role involves working with various metals, particularly in marine environments, to ensure the integrity and quality of our products.

Education Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
Work Environment
  • Experience working in confined spaces.
  • Various job sites, primarily in marine settings.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and determine the materials needed for projects.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and instructions to plan operational methods and sequences.
  • Establish reference points and patterns for metal cutting.
  • Strategically plan the sequence of tasks for efficient metal cutting.
  • Analyze engineering drawings and blueprints to ascertain material requirements.
  • Create patterns and templates for fabrication.
  • Install fabricated components into the final assembly.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Inspect welds to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
Materials Used
  • Primarily working with steel, iron, and heavy metals.
Specialization Area
