Job Description

Job Title: Sales Director for Tru by Hilton Oshawa Ontario

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to join our team at Tru by Hilton Oshawa Ontario. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the total sales effort of the hotel, including securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to produce group business, including room sales, F&B sales, and catering/banquet services.
  • Attend Networking Events: Attend networking events, develop and maintain good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups, companies, and trade organizations, and attend local and out-of-town meetings and conventions to generate sales for the hotel.
  • Conduct Site Tours: Conduct site tours to showcase the hotel's amenities and services.
  • Maintain Customer Database: Maintain a customer database to track customer interactions and preferences.
  • Develop Contracts: Develop contracts and follow up with customers to ensure timely execution.
  • Manage Departmental Budget: Develop and manage the departmental budget and monitor sales activity and performance to ensure sales meet or exceed the established profit plan and accurately report variances/projections to management.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of hotel sales experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt sales processes and systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in CI/TY, FOSSE & MARSHA.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed goals, well organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent grammar and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Availability: Available to meet guests, including weekends.
