Lighting Artist

Job Summary:

Sledgehammer Games Toronto ULC is seeking a skilled Lighting Artist to join our team. As a Lighting Artist, you will be responsible for creating stunning lighting effects for our games, working closely with our Lighting Leads and other teams to bring our vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create global and local lighting for game environments, taking into account gameplay, narrative, and mood requirements.
  • Collaborate with level, quest, and narrative designers to present the perfect visuals and player experience.
  • Adjust in-game lighting according to art directions and level design.
  • Utilize blueprint to streamline lighting processes.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in lighting.
  • Participation in the production of at least 1 shipped AAA game in a lighting role.
  • Familiarity with UE5 and 3D software, especially Lumen in UE5.
  • Deep knowledge of real-world lighting, including color, source, brightness, composition, and shadow.
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest developments in lighting tech, with experience in various lighting techniques and tools.
  • Highly self-motivated, great communication skills, and team spirit.
  • Passion for the game industry.
