Job Title: Home Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to join our team at Rowena Merca Bernardino. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to families with children who have intellectual disabilities.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties, preparing and serving nutritious meals, and assisting with child supervision and housekeeping duties. You will also be required to travel with the family on trips and assist with child care and housekeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments
  • Supervise and care for children
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work in a non-smoking and scent-free environment
  • Willingness to travel regularly
  • Public transportation is available
