Regional Area Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Area Manager to join our team at Brunel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering sustainable revenue growth by working closely with site operations and crews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure overall IOC site contract compliance, managing customer relationships and working with site operations teams to maintain continuity of supply.
  • Identify and secure growth opportunities in mining, quarry, and construction.
  • Lead and manage a team of 20+ employees, responsible for safety, production, quality, and budgets.
  • Approve plans, delegate work, oversee progress, and take corrective action when required.
  • Organize budgets, monitor spending, and prepare reports on production, safety, and project progress.
  • Lead and participate in meetings and briefings, and oversee the development of supervisors.
  • Collaborate with union representatives and the HR department to resolve personnel issues and grievances.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in mining, civil, or geological engineering, or a college or technical degree combined with relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of mining, drilling, and blasting processes, and explosives products.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with autonomy and self-sufficiency.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a related industry, including team supervision and client support.
  • Strong track record of building positive relationships with coworkers, team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Good working knowledge of business IT technologies and strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of OH&S Act and Health, Safety, and Environment management systems.
  • Knowledge of cash flow modeling techniques and mineral economics is an asset.
