Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in investor relations, finance, equity sales, research, strategy, accounting, or planning and development for a publicly traded organization.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- A financial background in sell-side equity research, buy-side, corporate finance/investment banking, or finance.
- Proficiency with financial statements, valuation techniques, and capital markets.
- Strong analytical skills necessary for developing financial models and assessing internal and sell-side models.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to clearly articulate key insights to investors, analysts, and senior leadership.
- Willingness to travel quarterly for investor events.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Business.
- Experience working with a publicly traded company under the Reg FD and SEC regulatory framework.
- Familiarity with investor relations databases and similar platforms (FactSet, Bloomberg, Ipreo/BD Corporate, etc.).
- Experience in buy-side/sell-side communication.
- Background in technology or fintech companies.
Job Summary
In the role of Director, Investor Relations, you will be instrumental in crafting and implementing an investor communication strategy, concentrating on investor presentations, analyst meetings, and quarterly earnings announcements. You will play a vital role in ensuring consistent messaging to the investment community while evaluating investor sentiment and market dynamics.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation of quarterly earnings materials, including releases, scripts, Q&A, investor presentations, and talking points.
- Collaborate with Finance, Public Relations, legal, and other departments to gather data, develop content, and synchronize messaging around quarterly and business developments.
- Keep track of peer earnings and industry updates to evaluate competitive positioning.
- Analyze sell-side analyst reports and conduct financial assessments to review sell-side models.
- Build and maintain relationships with sell-side analysts and buy-side institutional investors.
- Prepare regular updates on market trends, investor feedback summaries, valuation analyses, and industry news briefs.
- Utilize financial and investor relations databases (FactSet, Bloomberg, Ipreo/BD Corporate, etc.) for investor profiling, targeting, and ownership reports.
- Coordinate investor events and manage investor relations logistics.
- Assist in drafting SEC filings, proxy statements, and ESG reports.
- Ensure compliance with disclosure regulations (Reg Fair Disclosure) through collaboration with the General Counsel.
