Your Key Responsibilities:
- Possess 3 – 4 years of experience in a Canadian CPA firm.
- Demonstrate proficiency in completing compilation engagements and preparing personal and corporate tax returns.
- Have experience in conducting audit and review engagements for both for-profit and not-for-profit entities.
- Utilize Caseware, Caseview, and TaxPrep effectively for various accounting tasks.
- Prepare personal, corporate tax, and GST/HST returns with accuracy.
- Handle payroll and government-related remittances, including T4's and T5's.
- Engage with the Canada Revenue Agency on client-related matters.
Requirements:
- Experience in an accounting firm environment.
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Desktop (QBD).
- Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software such as TaxPrep, TaxCycle, Profile, Caseware, and Microsoft Office.
- Near completion of CPA Ontario certification.
- Willingness to work on-site as required.
- Experience from a mid-sized or smaller firm is preferred.
