This position is essential for assessing the necessity for urgent renovations, carpentry tasks, plumbing, electrical, and various other maintenance services as required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and guide maintenance personnel and contractors engaged in facility operations.
  2. Ensure ongoing preventive maintenance and care of the facility, including building systems, safety equipment, and medical apparatus.
  3. Authorize all essential repairs, maintain precise records and logs, and generate required documentation.
  4. Evaluate maintenance tasks for quality, safety, and adherence to regulations.
  5. Maintain a tidy and secure working environment.
  6. Verify daily temperature logs for refrigeration units.
  7. Confirm daily water temperature tests and logs within the facility.
  8. Enforce budgetary guidelines concerning supplies and services, following appropriate procedures for procurement.
  9. Comply with organizational policies and procedures.
  10. Serve as chairperson for the Safety Committee.
  11. Uphold the standards outlined in FutureCare's Corporate Ethics Statement and Compliance Plan.
  12. Ensure adherence to State and Federal Regulatory codes.

Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is advantageous.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory maintenance role is required.
  3. Broad knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, roofing, and grounds maintenance.
  4. Understanding of supervisory principles, organizational structure, and administration.
  5. Ability to exercise significant independent judgment.
  6. Capability to interact with tact and courtesy with facility staff, contractors, and the public.
